THREE YEARS OF COMMUNITY CARE IN ACTION
2020–2023
Hate Is A Virus started in March 2020. We began on social media, calling out the rise in anti-Asian racism during COVID. As we grew, we found ways to bring resources to grassroots organizations serving Asian American communities around the country. Here’s what we’ve done so far.

The development, creation and publication of free, high-quality digital resources across our social media, newsletter, and website.
Ongoing research into how we can best support Asian Americans in deepening their awareness and engagement with liberation and justice.
Fair wages for our team and collaborators, including a team of subject matter experts, researchers, artists, and artists.
Stipends for community resource collaborators, organizers, and Hate is a Virus team.
